Built to close the gap between knowing and doing.
STEM Applied Learning is building a practical digital learning platform that makes technical education clearer, more engaging and more accessible. Today, structured courses build strong foundations and practical knowledge across STEM subjects. Around them, interactive labs, simulation and immersive learning are being developed to help learners see how theory behaves in practice.
Beautifully simple learning, backed by enormous research.
Make complex knowledge feel simple. Make theory useful. Make practical learning accessible.
STEM Applied Learning exists to help people understand difficult ideas and then do something with that understanding. Technical education is strongest when clear theory, worked examples, active practice and practical application are designed as one learning journey rather than separate experiences.
Behind every simple lesson should be serious research, careful design and subject expertise. Behind every practical activity should be a reason for being there.
We are building toward a future where learners can move from first principles into interactive practice, simulation and immersive environments, without high-quality technical education being limited by geography, equipment access or unnecessarily high cost.
The long-term ambition is to support the next generation of creators and innovators: people learning from zero, students trying to understand something difficult, professionals developing new skills, and future engineers, scientists, programmers and builders discovering what they are capable of.
Our current Science and Maths courses are foundational in scope; our deeper technical courses, such as CNC programming, go further. STEMApply is the product name of STEM Applied Learning Ltd (formerly STEM Academy).
From first principles to applied practice
Start with little or no prior knowledge. Understand. Practise. Apply. Progress.
- 01
Structured digital courses
Clear lessons, worked examples and progressive modules that build understanding from first principles instead of throwing information at the learner.
- 02
Active practice and feedback
Quizzes, knowledge checks and exercises let learners use what they have just learned and understand their mistakes straight away.
- 03
Theory into applied practice
Interactive labs, calculations, code, simulations and practical activities connect abstract ideas to realistic tasks and systems.
- 04
Immersive practical learning
VR and 3D environments are in development to help learners explore and manipulate equipment, systems and concepts that are hard to reproduce in a classroom or a browser lesson. Not every environment is publicly released yet.
- 05
Structured progression and evidence
Learning should build toward something: progressive pathways, assessments, completion records and certificates of completion where a course supports them.
- 06
Bespoke learning for organisations
Through STEM Enterprise, organisations can combine existing learning with tailored programmes around their own equipment, processes, procedures and workforce-development needs, starting as focused pilots.
